Baltisse and QRF undertook the challenge of redeveloping a historic complex that once served as a hotel, cinema and shopping gallery. In Belgium it’s also known as the Century Center Shopping in the Pelikaanstraat and De Keyserlei.

After the renovation it will be a building that meets today's standards. The site will be completely transformed into a hotspot for comfortable living and working.

The old complex will get an attractive facade on each of the 3 sides. It will consist of a mix of office spaces with retail on the lower floors. The new total project comprises approximately 10.000m² retail space, 22.000m² office space and 8.000m² parking. The total project is spread over four separate subprojects with their own identity and architecture: Pelican, Novo, Deco and Arto.
